WHAT
- Total immersion in reading and math.
- Clinics in music, art, science, language arts and health.
- Re-imaging relationships with teaching and learning.
- Minimum class size 12 students with one certified teacher and two educational leaders
Family Assistance
- Parent workshops for mothers and fathers.

- Educational Advocacy and Forgiveness Workshops for Parents
Mentorship Program
Each student is paired with a mentor who will stay with the student throughout the middle school experience.
WHEN
Classes start approximately the same times as public schools, but enrollment at other times is possible. Programs available for:
- 1-3 day suspension
- 4-7 day suspension
- 8-10 day suspension
- long-term suspension
- expulsion
Classes are held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

WHO
Dr. Maxine Mimms is Founder of the Maxine Mimms Academies and Evergreen State College's Tacoma Campus. Other staff members include social workers, planners, counselors, certified teachers, and educational leaders.
