The Maxine Mimms Academy offers a unique educational program for students with short and long-term suspensions and expulsions. The number of students in a class ranges from 12 to 20. Students are served by a certified teacher and two educational assistants. Classroom instruction includes separate classes for middle school and high school students in Math, Science, Physical Education, Leadership, Social Studies and Technology.

Each student has a mentor, and each family has 24 hour access to an educational advocacy coach. Our goal is to help the student overcome barriers to full participation and return to the regular classroom as soon as possible.
